Organic Field School - Wednesday, July 13, 2016
The SWROC will host its third annual Organic Field School on Wednesday, July 13. The event focuses on teaching organic and transitioning-to-organic farmers, as well as any other interested farmers, how to set up and evaluate on-farm research. The main idea is to help the farmer conduct their own field research on topics that the University is not able to address. For example, how effective is manure application for wheat? Or, how effective is that soil conditioner that the sales person tried to sell me?
Please join us on Wednesday, July 13th! Registration starts at 8:30 am and teaching will start at 9:00 am and end at 11:45 am. Cost is $10.00 and includes refreshments. To keep costs low, no lunch will be served. This will be hands on teaching event will be held indoors.
You can also register for these events by calling the SWROC at 507-752-7372.
