"Researchers to Share Information and Results at SWROC's Winter Crops
and Soils Day on Wednesday, February 6, 2008"
Lamberton, Minn. - Lamberton, MN. - On Wednesday, February 6, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Southwest Research and Outreach Center (SWROC) in Lamberton, MN will host Winter Crops and Soils Day. The program addresses a variety of current agricultural production challenges facing producers, in particular, phosphorus management for manure and fertilizer sources, and issues with transgenic traits and volunteer corn. Registration begins at 8:45 a.m.
Speakers from the University of Minnesota's St. Paul Campus and Research and Outreach Centers will cover topics including wheat production for southwest MN, fungicide management for corn production, financial analysis of SW MN crop production, and tax law changes for 2008.
